A bad day fishing is much better than a good day at work.

Ya think all the NFL DB’s he plays against will be toting clipboards this fall?

When it’s all said and done, he will be the best player to ever come out of Clemson.

Did he ever have a good game against a team with a good defense? I know the Cocks shut him down , nicely. Who is currently the best player to ever come out of Clemson? The Fridge? On the Cocks side its a 3 way tie between 3 Green Bay Packers...Brad Edwards , Sterling Sharpe and Robert Brooks...I am not old enough to remember what George Rogers did in the NFL. Duce Staley and Harold Green come a close second.

Key West 1720 115 HP Johnson Saltwater.

Got to add Jon Abraham to the list of Gamecocks. He dominated as a DE for awhile in the NFL. Name some of the all time best Tigers in the NFL… maybe Levon Kirkland?

Sidney Rice retires and Sammy Watkins will make most people forget him. He’s that good, that fast, and that dedicated. He could have gone anywhere to college, he chose Clemson. Same said for Clowney and he chose USC. They will be fun to follow.

It really was a fantastic catch…

Just gotta give some crap to my university of clemson brethren…

Hope he does outstanding in the NFL…

Hope he gives back…

I’m thinking he will.

(I’m going to throw up a little in my mouth now).

No offense to Sammy, because I think he is a great WR. But he was being defended by air.
And you all seem to miss the fact that he fell while being defensed by air.
In a game that would have been a pick.

Ask me this in ten years. Just because he was unsuccessful against south Carolina doesn’t mean anything for professional football. It’s a different game no matter what people think. He’s the most naturally gifted wide receiver I’ve ever watched personally.

the point is that he lost his footing, got up found the ball and made a one handed catch. That’s not easy regardless that it would not have happened in a game.

IM4…reports are that he has been going against the 1st team in practice and smoking them.

CRM, Watkins had 7 catches for 97 yards against USC and USC had the ball for 40 minutes of the game. The only reason he did not have more is that you guys were on offense the whole game. Had nothing to do with your DB’s locking him down. He probably would have had 200 yards if we didn’t have 6 freaking turnovers.

He had a TD against FSU and 70 yards. Probably would have had more if Boyd was not sacked 6 times and pressure like 500 times.

Last but not least, ever heard of Brian Dawkins…the 9 time pro bowler? He went to Clemson in case you were not aware.

Watkins will go down as one of the best WR in the NFL. mark it down.

Ok, I’m done making you guys look silly.

Sailfish thanks for taking off the garnet glasses.

If a meteor had fallen from the sky, and an earthquake had opened up a crevasse in the end zone, and if Sonny Bono returned from the dead and tripped Sammy with his ski pole then the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will go undefeated and play Manchester United in the Olympics. Come on dudes…it was a small glimpse into what this 22 year old kid is capable of. He didn’t exactly snag a floater with one hand will drifting out of bounds…he ripped a bullet out of the air one handed after recovering from a stumble on his double move over the middle. I’ll take him, now it’s your pick.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I do believe I said he was a great WR. I think that is plenty of credit.

It is not the first time I have said it. I’m glad he is not at Clemson anymore.

Fish my man…you seem to be the only person who does not think that was an amazing catch. it was picked up by every major sports news outlet. But you are entitled to your opinion.

Hrummpphhh. What do they know?

Shevlin, if you haven’t noticed, THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO TALK ABOUT…
Do I think it was a good one handed catch. Yes. Do I think every WR in the NFL can also make a one handed catch. Yes.
Did he fall down on his own. Yes.
