The May River is home to the most popular sand bar in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island. Easiest access would be from the landing at the end of All-Joy Road. Also very close to Palmetto Bluff.

The Sandbar down by downtown Beaufort has all the riff raft you could ever ask for. Tons of drunks around go and enjoy yourself, I rather hang out at my own sandbar at various points on the broad river just me the wife and my dogs. Easy access is from the Lady’s island landing or pigeon point landing to get to the downtown sand bar is pretty much right behind Beaufort Memorial Hospital.

well like someone said pick your crowds and sometimes the crowd out there scares me. Plus I’m not your average looking s.carolinian if you know what I mean but there’s is some good times out there. The ladies at times do get a little too friendly but I wasn’t complaining till the wife went with me.

I go to the sand bar cause sometimes you get to see Swilly from the tv show Ax Men…He’s a pretty cool dude. Makes me feel cool to hang out with a Tv star too
