Started around 7:30 am in Buffalo Creek pulling boards. Pulled for an hour without a hit. Moved up lake and marked fish in the Little Saluda. Pulled boards for 2 hours for one 18 inch striper and one 2 lb perch. Went back down to the Gap and found good fish at 30 to 40 ft over deep water. Fished down rods for 3 hours for 3 more short stripers. Moved to the mouth of Bear Creek and fished down rods for close to another hour without a hit. Packed up and headed home without fish.
Hope you still have that 2 pound perch…it would be a state record!!!
T Bone I suggest you go to the Midlandsstriper Club forum. JOIN THE MSC great striper fishing club .( also perch) LOL

What’s with stirring the pot man…the places tbone posted are no secret this time of year. In fact I have been to all of them in the last 2wks to look around…and since your playing Barney Fife doing detective work I would guess you already know scgmc lives in the upstate and gets down this way very rarely…but then again your reports are so secretive I don’t even know if the fish knew you were there.

You’re joking, right? Keep all your info to yourself if you want, and enjoy the free education on here. We are a nice bunch, and try to help everyone out. It’s a big lake, with a lot of fish. I guarantee you I could tell 20 people exactly where I caught fish at the day before, and probably only 1/4 could duplicate it.
Point is, it takes a whole lot more than just knowing what creek you were fishing in to be successful.

Where have I caught fish recently?..ha. .thought you would have dug around enough to see for yourself…I usually don’t post reports on my own thread but usually tag onto someone elses…I cover 6-7miles per trip with just the TM, but u know that cause you have went back and looked…but anyway I will humor you… I have fished ballentine, hollow crk, (but don’t go there cause that’s my honey hole), which I said that a couple weeks ago…big gap…bear crk, crystal lake, jakes, towers, that’s just recently…If you keep digging back through Dec you will see I posted about Barstow, forks, blacks bridge,… lol…This is turning into a joke. I can’t believe I am getting into a this pissing match
But you got what u wanted some areas to go and fish…now don’t go posting about what u caught in all those places…ha

I have nothing to hide. I give out more spots than prob any single person on here. All you usually have to do is ask…In fact I will even give you the most guaranteed set of numbers…it’s where I get a ton of fish…so you can take your yak and sit there, but there is a lot of traffic, so be careful…

amount of traffic on the boards about this area. No pissing match here. I have good electronics and can find fish in almost any area of the lake ( this place was just the shortest distance for me)…I will fish elsewhere ,as I believe this spot has been raped… If you see a red yak…you all are welcome to fish near me …It’s a pretty good bet that I am on top of them !
