Saturday 6/16/07 Trip From Edisto Marina

Will be running the Jerni-A-Gan out Saturday for an offshore trip if anyone else is on the radio. Ran out of Beaufort,SC last weekend in a 25’ Carolina Classic (Bull Run)and boated six nice dolphin and a sailfish release all inside the Ledge in 120 - 140 feet.

If everything holds together we’ll be out there. Gonna drop lines about 140’ early and hope to pick up a few fins early and then shoot for a Sail or something a bit deeper. Where you guys thinking about heading??? EB??

Will most likely run south of the Edisto Banks, some of that decision depends on what the swell looks like in the morning and the other half on what the crew wants to look for. I’ve got some on board that want to chase billfish deep and some that will just want to pull on a dolphin. If the water temps stay the way they have been looking we may stop early in 120’ and put the lines in around daybreak and work out looking primarily for meatfish.

Around what time ya’ll departing? My original plans is to leave Edisto Marina around 5-5:30 on Saturday, but I may change to Sunday. Wave looks better for Sunday. We are strictly on a meat fish run.

I am going to leave around 4:30-5 from dawhoo. Make the long run instead of the long drive and longer run. Saturday still looks great to me. 3’ at 8s with less than 5knot wind looks good… as long as it holds…
