I hit the beach with Mr. Parker and his lovely wife early Saturday. Just like last trip the incoming tide in the morning was rough with huge waves and a ripping current. After the tide turned and started to pull out, things settled down and we were able to keep lines out without a problem. We threw fresh shrimp and rolled with some of the cut bait we caught. Not allot of hits on cut bait. The shrimp on small hooks with fixed weights proved to be more successful. We had a decent day landing some whiting, blues, croaker, trout, monster ray’s and a couple of mid size reds. Only one shark bite off, but we did see one cruising in the waves at one point. The ray pictured was a beast. It is sitting in front of a 72 qt cooler. We took a swim with all the gear through a trough that was chest high to get to a bar. Surf carts float. Just don’t get caught by the tides on the bar, that would not be good. Enjoyed fishing with my buddies as always and hopefully when the water cools some more the reds will follow. Cooked up some fresh fish for Sunday dinner. Best of luck to you all, take care folks. Hope to see some of you at the MAD event:smiley:

When you see “Old Glory” waving in the breeze, know that it is the dying breaths of our fallen hero’s that makes it wave.
