It did not look to promising but I needed to run the boat. Could not find mud minnows in my usual hole. Fished creeks openings and oyster structures in the south Edisto area, same spots we normally target. Water temp was easing toward 56 degrees. We tried all sorts of jigs but all fish were caught on the trout trick. Did not work it quite as hard as the water was cold, not sure if this made a difference or not. Ended up with about fifteen fish and kept a few for dinner. We must have fished five spots before we found our first fish and then kept moving to find others. Tide went to slack and the bite ended. Ended up being a great day. Weather might hold just enough to give it a try this afternoon.
