Save the Light 18th Annual Gala and Silent Auction

It is that time of year again for the annual Save the Light Gala benefiting the Morris Island Lighthouse preservation. This year’s gala is centered around celebrates a major milestone in the life of Charleston’s historic light. It is 140 years old! The theme of this year’s gala is a birthday party for the light and you are invited! The last 3 years of the gala, Save the Light has added a live auction that runs during the silent auction event. This live auction features some top notch items making it a key component of the evening and a major hit.

The Gala is the largest fund raiser each year for Save the Light and it only comes around once a year. This event allows everyone to celebrate with all of the lighthouse friends, have a great time, get some great items at bargain prices and just hang out at the beach with good food and beverages. If you have never attended, then this needs to be your year to experience it. If you have been before, you will not want to miss this one. The planning team has done a great job of assembling great auction items, lined up fantastic Blu Restaurant food, booked the beverages and made all the plans. You don’t want to be sitting at home on this last night of March 2016 and miss all the fun! That is right March 31st, 6-9 pm. Tickets are still just $65 each and include drinks, wine, beer and a great buffet. A cash bar will also be available.
