Scott Creek

Scott Creek is just behind the island per some stuff I’ve been looking at on the internet (Edisto park kayak launch). I’m coming down to Edisto in a week to kayak fish. Is it worth putting in at the Edisto Park launch and fishing that area? Anyone caught anything up that creek?

tnuts, that creek is a good one. There are some well known redfish spots along the outer bends of the creek where the trees are. My boy and I have done well in our creek just trolling some grubs about 100yds behind the yak and catching trout. No reason Scott creek should be any different, and perhaps better. Good luck man. This time of year there will be fish everywhere, but with the colder water, you might have to slow it down a bit, but thats perfect for a yak.

Scott Creek has been good to us. Never fished it in a yak, but should be a good time. Good luck.

Her best from the creek. Gulp Shrimp.

yea that creek has some unseasonably big bass in it, heard of a 40" caught there a couple summers ago, and i’ve caught plenty around the stumps.

tnuts, how did you make out? Might head down that way.

Just got back last night. Fishing was awesome. Nine hours of fishing. Twenty two reds, none smaller than 18". Two trout. One black drum. Largest getting caught was 27". I lost one at the boat. Just as I went to lift it from the bottom the fish was too heavy and straightened a Gamakatsu #4. That one would have been by far the biggest fish of the weekend. All fish came from the enclosed pool off the creek. Doesn’t look like much and you’ll be very lucky to find it but it was teaming with life.

This paddle head is 24".

I didn’t want to disturb the pool above at dead low as not to disturb the reds coming in on the tide but these little guys were darting in front of me from the banks just as I got set up. He was the first fish I caught the second day then the reds moved back in afterwards and I didn’t see them again.

Coming home.

Is the feeder off of SC? Bigger Pics:wink:
