Hey yall, this will be the official thread for the SCPBFC SC pier and beach fishing club. You can post your questions,comments, ext here. It is a free club to join, no strings attatched. We just want to have some fun and catch some fish at new areas. We will have a meet and fish every 3rd saturday at a different location around charleston/lowcountry. I think in addition to a meet and fish each month we should have a weeknight meeting somewhere and just get together, talk, tell fish stories, eat and have a drink. Like the first tuesday of every month. We can hold discussions of location there as well as facebook and here. what do yall think? We also need to think of a location for this month. Im thinking surf, like sullys or IOP. input?

I think we should do it the third wednesday, that way we can see the weather and what’s producing right then. The only problem is meeting at like a country club can cost money.

I’m so salt life I sued google earth for giving away all of my fishing spot’s.
glad to see this rolling, i have been thinking about this for a while. im just lazy
third wed sounds better to me, i surf fish most wed with a friend anyway.
sad to say i have an inshore boat but love surf fishing more

! But I know what you mean surf fishing feel’s a little more rewarding in the end but I also feel it can be a bit aggravating and a boat would be nice to just go and catch some fish.

third wedneday is a great idea! some guys on facebook said breach inlet. sounds good as any… what about yall? We can meet at my parents restaurant, the sandbar on folly beach, if thats not to far of a drive, that way we could eat and stuff. if not we could prolly meet at chs angler or HPT west ashley

Your parents restaurant is a pretty good idea! I don’t know if I could go every third Wednesday as it’s 40 minute drive but I’ll try my best.

Hunter, folly is kinda far for a lot of people on here. What about Pitt Street Bridge? I live in Old Village and know Pitt Street very well and have never been and not caught at least a little fishy. I would say either Pitt Street or Breech Inlet.
Breech Inlet is ya’ll would rather go after more flounder, rays, bluefish, whiting, and sharks. Pitt Street is more for trout, redfish, flounder, sheepshead, ladyfish, and the rare ray or shark.
I say we do Pitt Street first because it’s literally 1 minute from my house.

So we’re either doin Breach Inlet near IOP/Sullivans or Pitt Street Bridge then.

If We do it on a weekday then we cant go as im in the upstate and work during the week. its a 4 hour drive for me. id like to keep it on weekend ends if possible. sullivans island is 3 1/2 hours close.
The only thing we would do on weekday’s is decide where were going and socialize. We are going to try and keep it on Saturday’s though as some people go to church on sunday’s so over all I think Saturday would be best.

yes,the meets could be at the restaurant. the sat meetnfish would at fishin spots… i realize nnt everyone can go every meet,… it could prolly be done at HPT but then we cant eat…
