Sea Hunt Boats

As a lot of ya’ll know I sell boats. We just had a car flip over at a high speed into one our Sea Hunt Boats and the boat ended up inside the Ford Focus. All that has happened is the YAMAHA F115 got a little scratched and the boat got glass in it. We have looked at the stringer system and it is fine. This car was traveling in the air so fast it completely cut a telephone pole in half. If anyone wants to challenge how strong a Sea Hunt is PM me and I will send you pics of the boat and the car. Thank You Vic for allowing us to sell a Bad arse boat.

From reds to marlin you got it.

How long before the haters chime in?

My Dad has a 26’ Triton. Overall a great boat for the cash. My only major complaint is the T-top rod holders are way too high. I’m 5’11" and I can’t grab a rod out of one without stepping on the gunwale.

As for the FORD Focus…how many other small cars do you think could cut a telephone pole in half?

we have to have it go back to the factory I think and have them look at it before we sell it due to liabilities. The news down here got me advertising a scratch and dent sale though.

You can’t say enough good things about Sea Hunt Boats. They are down to earth, they build an excellent product at a reasonable price and take care of their customers!

They will be around when everyone else is falling by the wayside. People need to give Sea Hunt a strong consideration when they are in the market for a boat.

Ask someone who owns one.

I am happy with mine. And, I haven’t had a car try to smash through it.

Now that’s funny.

Put up the pictures whistling, I wanna see them.

And just a question, but why all the hostility? Does anyone really give you that much crap about selling sea hunt boats? And why? They are great boats for what they are.

I haven’ts seen to many cars fly across a four lane road and slam into the back of a boat either.

not saying sea hunt isnt a good boat, but, come on, do you think the lack of damage has anything to do with the brand of boat, or just the way the impact occured? would it have been any different if it were a keywest, sailfish, or scout?
I guess the fact that it had a yamaha bolted on the back helped?
would there have been more extensive engine damage if it would have been a honda?

I would like to see the pics as well

I’m now at www.teamcharlestonmarine.com

Chris We had a similiar incident happen last year with a 20 ft blazer bay and it ripped the motor off the transom. I imagine the car was traveling around 40 mph flipping across a highway similar to highway 17 in charleston and slamed into the back of this boat. I would have thought it would have ruined the boat honestly because of the impact and was very surprised. The yamaha’s prop shaft did get bent and scratched pretty good but I thought the transom on the boat would have been shot. Like I said I saw this happen last year to a blazer bay when we sold blazers and it ripped the transom apart. I was just merely complimenting the boat on being well built because I was in shock. I sent the pics to ricky so he will post them.

I owned a 22’ foot Sea Hunt for 3 years. I was mostly satisfied with mine, although the craftsmanship was not real impressive, but I didn’t expect it to be. The fish box henges fell off the second day out for example. Not the best riding boat also in anything chop, due to weight and deadrise. Don’t think I would buy another one, although it served it’s purpose for my budget at the time, and I had some great times and caught a lot of fish on that boat.

Now I have 17’ seapro bay with a platform I bought form my neighbor. Great little boat. Going to fish inshore for a few years until I save up enough for a 26’ Sailfish.

I would put the Gamefish 26 by Sea Hunt up against a Sailfish anyday. JMo. Also Sea Hunt has come a long way with craftsman ship and they didn’t become the number one selling saltwater fishing boat in the nation by building crappy boats.

Sea Hunts are pretty solid in my experience.

Boats are a matter of preference and budget…you will hear pro’s and cons on all of them based on peoples likes and dislikes. We have a seahunt and love it…it has been a great boat and the only issue we have had was that the live well wasnt sealed properly and would splash water into the center console area…easy enough fix…would Donnie love to have a Regulator…you bet…but we are still happy with what we have:smiley:

the pictures were taken after we rolled the car off the boat so we could get the guy out. I wasn’t going to be the d bag that was taking pictures while everyone else was struggling to save a guys life.
