There have been multiple discussions here recently on The Boats and Motors Page in regards to poor VHF reception and/or interference from other electronics on the boat. LED lights are becoming the norm for many applications on boats these days ranging in usage from navigation, to spreader, to cockpit to even underwater applications. While there are many advantages to LEDs such as low power draw and longevity there are also disadvantages such as interference. Here is a great article from Sea Tow in regards to LED interference.
