Crab is a wonderful bait for red fishing. It does have to be checked after a while because the carcass comes back picked clean but it does seem to be a go to bait for many. It can be bought by the dozen live at mom and pop seafood stores and there are several on rivers ave. 2 dozen crabs (get mixed-its cheeper) or catch your own if you desire, will yield 48 half crabs which will last 2 people all day. The method for cleaning will take 20-30 minutes total. First remove claws, then remove outer shell, then remove legs and cut in half, the last step would be to drink a six pack and go out at midnight and throw all the shells in the front yard of the biggest prick in the neighborhood. I hope someone can use this that hasnt done this before Good luck out there this weekend folks.
Holy cow they didnt post sideways, never again Bob, no more stiff necks.
The solution is if you have an I-phone and have this issue turn phone sideways -horizontally with the round button on the right.
I forgot a thing or two sorry. First kill crab with a butcher knife, turn on its back and drive a butcher knife through the face area just behind the mouth and put in the sink for 10 minutes till it stops kicking, wear gloves to help with the sharp shells. You may also cook the claws and have a tasty treat. To hook them run the hook through the hole where the legs were removed from.
How long do they stay good? Can you clean them like that the night before and throw em in the cooler for a few hours?

Carp Skewer sorry for late response, the crab will last a couple of days as long as you keep them cold, process them and get them back into fridge keep them on ice while fishing and they hold well in zip lock bags, this is a good solution for people who have a problem getting fresh mullet, can be done a day or two in advance and when you get to the beach your guaranteed to have bait and can start fishing right away for those reds, and you know they are fresh because they were live when you buy them, thanks.
Thanks you da man! I’ll have to try it. Hit me up if you ever need a fishin partner, I make pretty good company. At least I like hanging out with myself so that’s gotta count for something

I’ve messed with crabs for years now, and I have never used a scissors…
