Seminars Offer Advice and Experience

From 1/11/01</font id=blue>

Most of the time getting fishermen to share information about fishing spots, baits and techniques is an exercise in futility. For generations fishermen have carefully guarded their secrets and have only shared information with their closest friends or when they had something to gain from sharing the information and even then the information may be skewed slightly. For example my brother and I traded some numbers with a friend for some areas of live bottom before the Fishing for Miracles Tournament. When we entered the numbers he gave us they pointed us back to his dock. My brother maintains this was an accident, but this type of behavior is not uncommon among fishermen. We will trade more numbers with him in the future, just as soon as I figure out the coordinates of my backyard in Summerville. All kidding aside, finding and opportunity to have experienced fishermen share what they know is a rare opportunity and the fishermen in the Charleston area are going to have this opportunity twice in as many months.
