Going to be staying at Edisto week of 7/17.
Bringing 18 ft Parker.
Any tips on where I can put kids on sharks would be appreciated.

you should be able to catch sharks up to 6 ft fairly easily in the s. edisto on cut bait
I’ll be down there that week too. I’m also going down there blind to fishing spots. So what I do is check out charts like this https://webapp.navionics.com/#boating@12&key=ccfeEldjiN for holes and ledges. I’m not bringing my mako due to a bad lower unit, so I’ll be working the surf for flounder, reds, and trout. For this I like looking on bing maps, go to the “birds eye” view and you can see higher detail of the sand bars and water breaks. Obviously its probably changed by now. Just be careful catching sharks with your youngens around. Good luck!

I fish edisto regularly and am down her as I speak. Sharks are pretty much nowhere to be found, that being said the best place to usually catch them is in deeper water with bloody bait on the st Helena sound side of the island

Adam, can’t beleve you aren’t catching sharks! I have a hard time not catching them!
It’s been a weird year for me, besides a couple whiting throughout the week, we haven’t caught any sharks, rays, or bluefish like normal. We had a tarpon hit a live whiting I had out for shark bait but other than that the week has been really slow

I’ve heard several people say this has been a slow year on several varieties. Trout fishing hasn’t been the best for me, but everything else has been above normal fishing .
