no real regs besides make sure you know what species you can and cannot keep and size limits. Other than that, use proper gear and release techniques and have fun!
oh, but I would try to do your best about being away from people. Not because you dont have a right to be there, but its just a headache to have random tourists/whomever criticize you for fishing for sharks and “bringing them close to people” haha.
You can NOT surf fish from 3rd st east to 3rd street west. stick to either far ends of the island.
