Sharkin' Edisto -all next week from the beach

Well the time has arrived. I have a Penn 850SS, 11 foot rod, and some nice leaders (double and single hooks). Staying around the 600th block. Anyone have any suggestions on the best part of the beach to fish from? I really do not want to be fishing where there may be a lot of kids swimming. I have never been to Edisto, but I am looking forward to it.

Tommy, Give me a call and I’ll suggest a spot. Bob

Sounds good. My girlfriend and I have actually been talking about taking a trip with you in your new boat. I will give you a call when we get down and see what your availability is.

If you ever do that again, and I find out about it…

Tommy,
If you can manage to get in the creeks in any way, they are loaded with Bonnethead. I got one in my cast net about 3.5 ft yesterday while casting for finger mullet [:0] and my wife landed about a 4 footer. I also got a 3 footer. They are nailing the blue crab. I am down here in Edisto on vacation by the way. Also chartered Bob on Tuesday and highly recommend it. We caught about 24 trout with Capt. Bob. Kept 4 for dinner. He is the “real deal”.

Side note. We were at the beach yesterday and saw some shark feeding on the large schools of mullet migrating along the beach. We also saw two big pods of porpoise feeding on them. And one was free-jumping about 6 ft out of the water all up the beach. It was like SeaWorld! One of the coolest things I have ever seen…:sunglasses:

Edisto is awesome!
