Sharks, Cudas and Safety

So are you guys constantly looking around for the “Bigger Fish”
How safe do you think you are down there?

safer then you are driving through the bad part of downtown.

Only surfers are shark bait. I doubt if any divers have been bit by sharks or cudas. Just doesn’t happen. When it does it is a mistake…ie a cuda bites a shiney watch flasing in the water cleaning a boat or a surfer looks like a seal… they usually spit you out anyway.

I have had dinner “negotiations” before and always came out on top.
Usually worst that could happen is losing your fish and having to clean out your wetsuit
Cudas do not bother me, as long as you dont have a struggling fish on the end of your spear cudas follow you but leave you alone. Nurse sharks and morays are a pain, bop em on the nose a couple of times and they get the hint.
Fortunately I’ve never had a “large Shark” actually come after my fish but have seen them while shooting fish.
