We made our annual trip from the mountains of Virginia to the Charleston area for 4 days of shark fishing. First day in town we had someone steal a couple rods and our tackle box full of all our terminal tackle and leader making materials, over$350 gone in the box alone. Anyways we restocked some of our gear and managed to catch 21 sharks over 4’ from the beach during our stay. The biggest was a 7’3" lemon that was tagged. All sharks we’re released safely to fight another day. Our gear consisted of Penn spinfisher 10500s and Penn 8000s. All spinning gear.

Ill also mention that all hooks used were non offset circles and were removed, with the exception of a couple which we had trouble removing so we used bolt cutters to cut the barb of the hook off and the eye so we could release the shark faster and allow the hook to work out itself.
