Do y’all prefer to use live whiting?
No, I personally like to use a smaller stingray about the size of a dinner plate. Really gets those sharks excited.
Does anyone know where I can go to catch some rays cause I never catch them unless I’m trying to catch something else?

CidAngler, whole small stingray?
jnail, we must have a mutual friend. He showed me those pics and a few more before you posted them.
Yeah I will put the entire stingray on there if it is perfect size. It sounds cruel but I give it a couple stabs with my pocket knife and in the water it goes. I have caught a couple REALLY nice Lemon Sharks doing this in Bulls Bay.
redfisher I would put that ray out whole on my new reel!

Hey guys. I’m joining the shark fishing discussion. I’m not on Facebook so don’t get to keep up with whats going on with the Requim Shark fishing guys anymore.
I’m curious when you use a whole sting ray, do you use two hooks? Also for the whiting, how are you guys hooking the bait?
If anyone is going to do some shark fishing on south folly I’d love to join you some time. I’ve got “classroom” knowledge from watching my share of you tube videos but I’ve yet to land a shark. Pretty sure I’m not going deep enough. I plan to use my SUP to get baits out for now. I’m new to the area and it seems like most of folly is very shallow. I’d love to have some tips on locations on folly that might be best. Last place I fished was in front of the Christian ministry just North of the county park at South Folly. Anyone willing to share a street number on Folly or Sullivans or IOP?

in through the gills and slide the wire through, hook through the belly making a whole or 3/4 whiting look like a gulp bait, but a lot bigger zip tie it into place.
