Sorry if stupid question but are sheepshead here year round (specifically now)? If not, what months? I just have always targeted them in the winter because with no boat that’s one of the few things that was around. All thank’s will be appreciated! Thank’s in advance!

caught 8, kept 2 on tuesday. 10’ depth, on pilings with fiddlers.
action seems to be best in the fall inshore, possibly because they’re all bulking up for the offshore spawning run in winter (which is why so many people target them on the artificial reefs jan-april). one of my favorite fish to eat, but i only fish them inshore.
