I have dove and shot some fish in other places, but never off of SC. Anyone willing to share any wrecks or live bottom that would be a good place to pick up a few bugs and grouper/snapper? I have logged dives up to 100’, but would like to go a little shallower for more bottom time. Thanks in advance.-Dan

I have not found any shallow SC dives yet. The water there tends to be lousy - especially in the summer. Most ledges in the 80-100 ft range hold grouper and snapper. Some hold lobsters. I would be happy to take you out if you are ever in Beaufort. We usually dive The Hump off Beaufort. Mark 252-4154

Stick with deeper. 100’ is great. Shallow is muddy and not a lot of good stuff to look at like tropicals and big fish. Grouper will come in shallow, but only certain times of year. You can dive 75’ at the Gardens and it’s ok. I’m planning 130-140’ very soon. Good luck. Les
