A friend just texted me a picture of a limit of what he called medium shrimp. The picture doesn’t really show the size but does show a cooler full. Said they caught them in 8 passes. They started at 1:30 and are currently anchored up in a creek de-heading.

I’D HIT DAT!
Went to Bennett’s Point today, put in at around 12:15. Got 1/3 cooler until high tide and they stopped like you flipped off the switch. Was averaging 20-30 per cast and the next pass, zilch.
We gave up on them and went fishing, managed 3 keeper trout and two small whiting as the tide started going back out.
After that we moved to a new spot and baited two poles just to see if they would show up, after half an hour decided it wasn’t worth wasting any more bait. Oh well, had a great time. Shrimp were medium at best with a few bigger ones sprinkled in.

Went to my spot by JIYC, caught a ton of bait shrimp for my in law, a handful of keepers, a flounder, and a trout. Also learned the gate locks at night now. Used to be able to sit out there 'til 2am. Now I have to find me another spot I can go to w/o a boat. Life sucks.
Blessed to be a true Jim Isle boy

JIsurfer…if you are talking about surise park…while the gate locks at dusk people do still go down there…park outside the gate or take golf carts. they were just trying to dicourage the party parkers is what I heard…unless they ahve new signs up. the old ones said "gate closes at dusk…but did not say you couldnt still be on the dock. Call the parks and ask for sure though.

How my night went; backed down folly boat ramp at 9pm right on time and all loaded up, not missing a single thing and ready to go. Get boat in water and bam, motor was struggling to fire up, after trying for 45 minutes we parked the truck and threw the net off the dock. Caught 2 dozen Shrimp and called it quits.
Hopefully I be out there soon
