Hope to make it back down next weekend to try the shrimp again. Has anyone been next to otter island lately?
Just talked to a buddy that was there fri. and sat. and caught 39 total mostly large shrimps. They ended going up the river and limited out with smalls after dark!
Was out this past Thursday at Otter Island, 1/3 cooler in three hours mostly medium with a few large. Plan to go back this week with hopes to get more.
This was my worst weekend for shrimp yet here in Edisto. I am thinking it has to do with the larger tide. The shrimp never really came in at all til dead low and even then it was 8-10 per cast. It was a lot of work to get 1/4 cooler.
They seemed smaller on average than 2 weeks ago too. The water was extra dirty. I am thinking of trying it in the daytime when the water is real dirty to see if it makes a difference night vs day here.
