Shrimping Question

Figured I’d get someone who knows the answer here.

Can a non resident use his boat, go with a sc resident who has licensed poles and baiting license, without having to acquire his own non resident baiting license? I know that you only need one set of legal poles per boat, no matter how man residents are on the boat.

DNR regs state: "Participants must have a shrimp baiting license.
License holders, while shrimping from a boat, may be assisted by a resident who is not required to have a shrimp baiting license "

And everyone has to have a salt water fishing license, correct?

I am a Ga. resident as well. I called DNR couple of years ago and was told I could use my boat but all I could do was drive the boat if I did not have the baiting license. I make out way better off the shrimp boats.

Others on here should be able to clear this up for you. Good luck!
