Shrimping

Anyone done any good shrimping edisto/st Helena sound recently.
Also if so any size to them . Thanks you all have a great day

Last post from about a weeks ago I saw said they were mainly larges coming out of the sound. For sure better than several weeks back.

Large shrimp are back in the usual places. These large tides have put them where they normally have been in previous years. The fresh water from the flood has been flushed out for the most part.

Thanks Fellas

Anyone ever try the area in front of pine island ocean side . I know it’s all sand and would be hard to get the poles in

Tried years ago with no luck! Did do well up fishing creek but all med. and a few large!

Stay out of the creeks for large shrimp. Get on the main water!

I did once when I first started. Sandy - real hard to get poles to stick and stay - tide rips it hard right there - hard to handle the boat.
Shrimp were big but, not enough numbers. Pulled poles and moved to east side of river.
Better IMO on front of Otter or Monkey.

Thanks for replies. Any decent shrimp in Bay Area out of big bay creek or is st Helena the best

You can catch them on flat out of big bay by mud creek and at mouth of St Pierre. IMO there they tend to be more mixed sizes and smaller numbers than the sound.

Thanks I’ve tried that before mixed results.
