Went fishing yesterday around station 18 and caught a bunch of bluefish, a black tip at 4’ 8" and what has to be the state record red. The red was at least 85 lbs and pulled my rod right out of the spike. Shark was caught on live pinfish and the red was caught on shrimp.
Pete, I notice your toes are much further from that shark, what’s up with that?

Gotta get it all in the picture, hahaha.
It appears your patented pinfish are working just fine nice catch and that is without a doubt the biggest red Ive ever seen, thanks for pissing off Mr. Parker, you just had to one up him. FYI you have seen how big he is -I suggest an apology.
Were you there in the evening? I came out around high tide for 45 minutes or so since I was in the area and there was someone fishing just down the beach. I had a slow day but managed some good ladyfish on Monday in that spot

I don’t know…may have mine beat for sure.

I love that spot, but the crowd there drives me nuts especially this time of year. Can’t wait for fall.
How far out do yall work your baits there? I walked a couple of the big rods way out and it didn’t drop off until WAY out. And the bottom seemed very featureless

Ya, that was me. I walked out to about chest deep for the sharks and it seemed to drop off. From where I was, there seems to be a pretty solid cut down that way.

Nope, not once.
That’s an awesome looking shark but it looks like a sharpnose. are those white dots on its back? if they are its a sharpnose. I’d love for something larger than the normal 12" pup
