Does anyone do this? I want to try it out this year. Just wondering if anyone has had any success out by bay point or cruising hhi beach.
Very difficult in our murky water. The tarpon show up mid to late summer when the water is cloudiest. There are better ways to be successful in the lowcountry. But, Fuzzy Davis taught me to never say never when he started catching them on the fly off HH. Lean how to do it and teach us all.

The tarpon will surface-feed on schools of menhaden or mullet. If you are VERY lucky & are at the right place at the right time and you have a lure or live bait ready, you can hook up that way. Otherwise there really is no sight fishing for them here.
