Karma for taking that shot on Spurrier last season.

Have you seen the backup? When given a five yard cushion, he can hit just about every pass. I think Mizzou will be OK.
For reel though, the backup has a rocket arm. I’ll be surprised if he has less than twenty completions. Our defensive backfield is terrible.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be too sure of victory just because Mizzu is playing a backup, Sakkerliner is playing the backup’s backup these days. Should make for an ugly football game.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Understatement of the year. I have never seen db’s play so soft. Al Harris, Jr. was supposed to be all world and I have yet to see him play even a decent game.
Sometimes that new guy comes in and fires up the team. Mauk being out may or may not be a good thing. The defense needs to get to this kid early and often to rattle him. If he gets no pressure and gets comfortable back there it could be a long day.
“Apathy is the Glove into Which Evil Slips It’s Hand”, but really, who cares?
Al Harris Jr. need to be riding the pine. He has not impressed me at all. Even when he give 10yrd cushion he still gets beat long. Why does USC play a 2 safety cover and a 10 yard cushion. Terrible scheme.
Like DF said, if they do not send the house early and often…it will be a long day
After seeing Mauk play Saturday against Kentucky, I feel this will better Mizzou’s chances… He was making a lot of major mistakes.

Al Harris Jr was only a 3 star recruit. Not all world. I am a Packers fan and have been paying attention to him since his dad was a Packer. He is horrible. Plays soft. Gets beat on any kind of stutter step and he falls down a lot. He is not a starter but he is replacing the starter that is injured. Sucks that Maty Mauk is suspended. He is terrible and has the weakest arm in the SEC. I do not think he can throw the football over 30 yards. Not that he needed to. The slant route is there all day.

After reading some of the Missouri fan comments on his suspension, quite a few made it clear that the rest of the offense isn’t exactly helping with his offensive numbers (Russell Hansborough’s injury, bad WR core, etc.) Will still be an interesting game for the Battle of Columbia with the Battle of the Freshmen QBs

Loon, silver platter? Missouri has the 7th ranked defense in the country, hardly what I would call a silver platter game. I guess with ND playing a back up QB you consider that one a silver platter also?
With the cushion Sakkerliner’s defense gives to receivers, that kid’ll be in the Heisman race after that game. I honestly think Sakkerliner is going to get the hell beat out of them again.

You know the expression about an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object? Yeah this will basically be the exact opposite of that. Our defense is atrocious, but their offense might be more atrocious (7 points at home against UCONN… owch). If any team scores 20 they will win (unless there are a bunch of defensive or special teams scores).

Relax…I know y’all are a little tense right now. If you think Missouri’s backup is on the same level as ND’s…we all know who the loon here is:wink:

UConn didn’t play 7 yards off the receivers, they pressed and played tight. I wouldn’t take that game as an indication of Mizzu’s game plan against Sakkerliner’s weak defense.

I think anyone with the name “Maty” should be suspended automatically…
The Gamecocks will help this freshman earn the starting job on Saturday and leave Mizzu fans wondering why he hasn’t started sooner.

I wondered how long it would it take for this to happen.

I don’t really know which backup quarterback is better. I have not watched Notre Dame play, but the kid has started two games. Missouri’s has started none, so I guess you are going off their high school play to determine which one is better? I just assumed your great defense and high flying offense would make playing the back up quarterback a “silver platter” for you as well.
By the way I am just having a little fun with ya, I am not the least bit tense. A loss by South Carolina this weekend will not change my life one bit. I tried and think I understand a little more about “Loon-logic” now. Just set it up so if South Carolina wins it was a gimme and if they lose they are terrible.
For the record I think Clemson is going to win this weekend if they get to play the game.
