#1 in the country and still crying about the SEC. C’mon Phin, let it go man. Enjoy the good times. It has been two years since an SEC player has won the Heisman. Jameis won it for the “All Crying Conference” just a couple of years ago. I’d say Watson has a very good chance and should be in strong consideration depending on how the season plays out.
I just think it’s all a joke now. They dropped Fournette like a hot rock, but he can’t run through a hole that isn’t there. I don’t think DW will be in the running, his best chance to impress everyone was this past weekend. Nobody cares when you throw for 200 yds and go out in the start of the 3rd quarter with a huge lead. His year will be next year.

With Watson’s resume this season, he deserves to be in the conversation. Personally, I believe Fournette should win the Heisman, but I guess that’s SEC hype. The truth of the matter is that LSU would be very average without him. Just like Clemson would be a lot more average without Watson. Both great players that elevate their teams’ play. Enjoy the incredible season and quit complaining that you’re not getting the respect you deserve. You’re ranked #1 in the country…sheesh.
