Slow ,slow beach front fishing. Slow as I have seen it in awhile. Ended up the week with one 4 ft shark, butterfly ray, 1 big ray, bunch of little sharks and rays, 70 or so whiting. If your headed down to fish the beach have a backup plan. Bunch of tiny fish in the surf that’ll eat any thing you throw out there.
My family will be heading down next sunday. Did you fish on the sound?
I had some friends staying on the sound and we caught some whiting down there one morning but the next morning was no good. It’s been hit and miss,
Thats how it was when we were down in april. I think we had our best luck that week on the dock beside marina one night caught about 6 whiting in about an hour 1hr.
I will be down Tuesday and am going to try the surf some myself. If I remember correct Skipper you fish a lot around the 1300 block. Is that where you were fishing. Also did you head up to the state park and fish any of the inlets.

I fished right in front of the edisto realty. Not sure what block that is. We tried the the beach right in front of Jeremy inlet and the whiting were there for a short time. I did notice that the last few hours of outgoing tide were the best but when it turned around they quit.
70 Whiting is not slow. That is a massive drunken fish fry!
