Pretty (**() amazing, all of it! I probably need to test some of that ham, you know, to make sure it’s fit to eat and all. Safety first amirite?!
But for real… well done, really well done! I’m working hard to get to somewhere like that in my life as well. Thanks for encouragement!
“No bar, no pinball machines, no bowling alleys, just pool… nothing else.”
…well, some fishing too!
Was looking for some Polish ham for the wife and came across this… Some People get pretty fancy with the serving of ham, and the price of certain varieties!
I think this would accompany your fabulous looking hams quit well.
Those are made for slicing and displaying Spanish Iberico ham, those hams are considered some of the best in the world, especially if you go by price. I call mine HereYaGo, some people get it, some don’t. The ones that do, well, I know they know I know.
Hey, since we are talking about cured meat, check this out. It’s Duck Brest Bacon and it turned out awesome.
As long as you are here I might as well show you some of the stuff out of the garden and a few things I’ve done to them. They all died in a “Oh helllll yeah” kinda way.
Shank Stew or as the cool kids say,Osso Buco
And the newest addition to the clan
Thats all I got for now, gonna choke this down and get back to the salt mine
Thanks for the click

I should have know you’d have a ham holder. That some right fancy looking vittles you have there!
I love mushrooms but, I would never trust my identification skills to pick any in the wild and eat them. Fly fishing is on my list of “things I want to do” at some point in my life. That ham looks dam good!
Here is a woodworking project I recently completed for my wife. Been promising to do it for close to 20 years. She sits on it every day now so I feel bad for not having done it sooner.
Obviously your wife is a patient woman. Thank goodness mine is too…
Does anyone else see the humor in this??

Thats really nice, I might just copy that idea and let grapes grow up the posts and trellis them into the pergola. It might take me 20 years too, so I don’t think Ill tell Mrs. Fisher just yet. No kidding, thats nice.
On the mushrooms, here is a picture of one called Chicken Of The Wood. When I lived at Edisto I found and harvested these quite a bit. It is very easy to ID. They grow abundantly in Charleston County and the low country. They are easy to harvest. They make great table fare. Keep an eye out for them around the base of older damaged, diseased, or dying oak trees, usually but not always on the north side of the tree.
When you find it once and ID it with pictures you can easily harvest them with certainty the rest of your days. When cooked they have a texture and taste similar to chicken, thus their name.

Doug, that looks great! You have skillz for sure.
Nice job.

Thanks Glenn. The hardest thing nowadays is finding decent pressure treated wood. Lowes calls theirs “premium” but, you have to go through the entire stack to find a few decent pieces of wood.
I am making 2 nightstands for my oldest son. I looked for something to use at Lowes. I found some beautiful cherry at a local place and it was cheaper (and far nicer) than what I could get at Lowes.
#@*~!!
Guess I’m not going for a ride through the hills tonight.
Kick back drink a couple beers listen to some tunes and the rain.
Life is what you make it.

Rain is nice sometimes in my camper this time of year.
At least it’s not Africa hot now.
Nice digs

I’ve owned the dirt where I live at now over 40 years. I sold off a couple acres years ago when they developed it. Part of the deal was I have use of the clubhouse pool and all that junk. & I don’t abide by their covenants. But that’s a different story.
I’ve been living there near about 20 years now. I’ve known most everybody on my street probably over 30 years. Couple snowbirds. We all look out for each other. We’re all pretty tight.
Except for 1 they’ve been there about 10 years. They really don’t get along with anybody on the street. They are the type to leave a smart-a$$ note if your trash cans not put up by dark on trash day…
My wife gets along with them well. She’s such a saint. I married way above my level.
The funny thing is they dislike me more than anyone else on the street.
Don’t understand why…
Sometimes I just can’t help but push their buttons though…
