Had a little break in the weather so we headed out on HottaYet for some spearing. First dive i racked up on big bugs up to 9# and took a couple of small hogs. Hottayet took a 20 Red snapper.
2nd dive was a little more interesting. Got to the bottom and
found that the current had picked up and we were on a 10"
ledge. I thought ■■■■! this is going to be a friggin sand dive.
Came up off the bottom and booked with the current down that
small ledge hoping for some better structure. Found one 5# lob
in the small ledge and while i was bagging him spotted a big hog.
I put a freeshaft EXACTLY 2" behind the eye in the color change. The
only movement i saw after that was a whisp of blood. Lights out!
He didn’t beat my last hog but close. 21.5#
