South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier was asked about his name being linked to the potential opening at Florida, his alma mater and the place he coached at from 1990-2001.
Spurrier, in his 10th season with the Gamecocks, laughed it off.
“I tell everybody my next move is going to be to Crescent Beach, Fla.,” Spurrier said. “That’s where my next move is going to be to.”
Spurrier and his family have a beach home in Crescent Beach.
Spurrier is 81-42 at South Carolina and is the all-time coaching wins leader both with the Gamecocks and Gators. He won six SEC Championships at Florida.
