Average 8 yards per carry and abandon the run in the 4th quarter. Time to bench D. Thompson and let next years starter get experience. Defense has no idea how to tackle.

I would at least like to see someone else get some reps at QB. I don’t blame Thompson for the losses but, they need to let someone else play so we don’t have a completely virgin QB back there next year.

Oh how people forget where SC was prior to Spurrier.
SC is not historically a very good team. They are, in fact, historically very average at best. Respect and enjoy the fact that we’ve been very much above average the last few years. I respect and appreciate what Coach Spurrier had done for the university. Yes, the defense is having a bad year, but that’s not Dylan Thompson’s fault. Dylan is playing good enough to win.
Right now, we’re asking DT to do a difficult thing… play well enough for the offensive and defensive shortcomings.
Address the problem at hand; fix the defense.
If you bench DT, things get really bad really fast.

I don’t want DT benched and I certainly do not blame him for losses. The losses have been team losses, coaching, defense, special team, et al, they have all been culpable at some point. I guess my hope was that at some point in some game, our #2 (who ever that is) would get some reps to have some actual game time experience. I knew we would not be as good as we were that last 3 years I just did not anticipate us making the kinds of mistakes we are making, especially some of the puzzling coaching calls.

Scotty Spurrier’s fault if you ask me…Knowing his dad has stage 4 dumbace disease and letting him call the plays is
unforgivable…

I agree totally 23. I would say a below average team for most of their existence. I do not blame Thompson for this loss. The defense could not stop the same play run over and over again knowing it was coming. The offense put 38 points on the board and had a two touchdown lead in the fourth. I do question the play calling on the second to last possession. Plenty of time to run the ball and move down the field for a field goal to td. Coming out throwing did not make any sense. People calling for Spurriers head need to step in off the ledge and think to the days of Spark Woods and Brad Scott. We do have short memories when it comes to our sports teams. There was not way for this team to live up to the preseason hype.
That’s my point… it’s a little worrisome … When in both post game conference Spurrier said in hind sight that we should have run the ball. My question is at what point do you learn your lesson. One thing that gets me is
That in any given game or any given play on other teams the coaches are in the players faces…not ours one bit. I am a season ticket holder and it’s scary to see how little I interaction our coaches especially Ward has with his players when the offense on feild.
Dabo…les…Muschamp…Saban… and other coaches
Will roll a player in a minute… not so with ours.

I don’t want my coach to be like Dabo or Les…especially not like Saban or Muschamp. Muschamp is about on line with Bo Pelini with me…ugh.

Maybe y’all should steal his flask so he can’t drink during the game.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Is there a John Wayne quote somewhere that says something like “never trust a man who doesn’t drink”

You don’t want your coach to win a championship of any kind?
