Anybody that knows anything about Spurrier wouldn’t be surprised. I think its a fitting end to an incredible career. Love him or hate him, the guy bleeds football and cannot be away from the sport. I think we all knew he’d show back up in football sooner rather than later. I hope he’s happy there.
I wish him well. I was always of the thought he should move on and clear the path for Muschamp. This just seems more symbolic than anything else, but I can understand it. I’m just glad he’s recruiting for Fla instead of SC now.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
Well when pounded by the likes of UK, Vandy, A&M, UF, and El Cid the human form turns tender and is easily shaped in a variety of shapes.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Sports isn’t a “normal job” in many ways, but I think it’s pretty standard for the old boss to move on when the new guy basically needs to clean up his mess. Part of that pitch, fair or not, is going to include telling recruits/fans/players that a new sherrif is is town and the lax ways of the past won’t be tolerated. Regardless of whether that’s even true, it’s sort of what Muschamp has to say and that’s pretty awkward with the old coach hanging around the program.
