I hardly see anyone post about the Station Creek area in this section, or in the inshore discussion/reports section. Is it just not a good area to fish anymore? I’m not A local, but that’s the area I visited often as a kid (family in the area) and I remember catching a variety of fish.
Still good fishing. I’ve got some friends on lands end. Pretty much only ramp they use. Usual suspects, trout, reds, sheeps, flounder
Station Creek is my favorite place. We usually go out to Skull or Story and catch whatever.Whiting is my brother-in-laws fav, I love the tug of a spot-tail and the occasional Shark. Great area. I have also noticed not many post on the inshore fishing in this area. Will be there this weekend so will be going out . Anyone that has info must be keeping it private:smiley:

I haven’t been down. I’m in the upstate but a friend of mine has been catching fish. Better fishing has been around wood.
I was there a week ago. First time in probably 5 years. The water was very stained. Got some mullet and headed back to the deep hole and sat there for a while with only 1 2ft shark to show for it. tried the other deep hole and just managed one other small shark. We tried shrimp out in front of the rocks and timber before that, but only found tiny whiting. When you say Skull or Story, what do you mean? I’m not familiar with the local lingo (i live 2.5hrs away)
We are in the upstate ourselves. Try to get down 4or5 times a year. Story is the creek that cuts thru over toward Fripp. Skull is the next creek up going out Trenchards on the left. Last trip we used cut mullet and had a mixed bag of shark and redfish.
If we don’t have any luck with artificial we anchor in about 14-20’ and bottom fish. Usually at the mouth of a creek. I will bottom fish and my wife will use shrimp straight lining down off the bottom for whiting. We can spend hours out there even if the fish don’t bit. Just a very relaxing place,
