First time I’ve been in these waters since I was a kid with grandpa, and we managed to find some fish right off the bat. Total for the day was 6 of 10 on slot reds and 8 trout. Trout were mostly dinks only one 16". Started around 9AM and it was overcast and hazy until after lunch but plenty action at the end of our lines made for a great day on the water.
My family bought a share of a house down here last year:smiley:, so I’ll be making regular trips. Heck we had the place to ourselves, only one other truck at the landing and two other boats on the water in five hours of fishing.

What EF said. It makes me cringe when I think of the piggly wiggly in July. Dam FIFO’s are everywhere.

I hate to ask, but what is a FIFO?
And, for the record, I hate the crowds during the summer, too. I’m going down tomorrow to do some fishing.
Just trying to learn every bit I can about saltwater fishing…
