Cracker, that Square Grouper is supposed to be real good if it’s smoked!
That’s what I hear, used to have a t-shirt that said “Smoke GA Seafood” This one had been in the water way too long. Dang shame that 25 kilos of seafood got wasted

Close, but it’s actually leucistic. Albinos are more pink with a definite pink eye.
I caught it in a small private pond in Ohio. I posted pics on some forums and had offers of $2k-3k for it in some private messages.
If I caught that today, I’d build it a pond in my backyard.
someday I’ll get a mount done. But I want it to be a nice one so I’m expecting a few hundred dollars.

Caught a loggerhead turtle while cobia fishing up in Morehead City. He has not happy with us. Also caught a 4 ft conger eel while solo fishing the jetties at Little River. I thought it was a little weird because I normally think of them as a deepwater species. That one was a little stressful.
Caught alligators many times on spinnerbaits in the ponds across from my house.
Hooked up a beaver by the tail on a Zebco 33, that one didn’t last too long.
Foul hooked a banded water snake once.
Pulled up a dive mask way off the Comanche structure.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

My buddies uncle disappeared from a nursing home, Alzheimer’s disease. Someone ended up catching his body while fishing the Allegheny River.

Was salmon fishing up in Northern NY about 10 years ago and here comes a brand new bright designer shoe box floating down the middle river. My g/f at the time happened to be with me and insisted that I hook the box and bring it over. I got it on the second cast, brought it over and instead of expensive shoes it was filled with 4 or 5 dead kittens. Needless to say it got pretty weird and she didn’t ever go fishing with me again.

Couple weeks ago I hooked up an endangered black sea bass. Released it as quick as I could. Bothered me to think that it may have been the last of the breed…

I just fell out of my office chair laughing. Best by far.

I caught what looked to be like a Striper and a Mullet cross breed. Caught it on a bucktail while fishing for stripers near the hot hole on the Cooper River. Had the body of a 24 inch striper then its head looked like a mullet. I didn’t even want to touch it. It was freaky looking.

Caught a huge horseshoe crab on squid at Breach Inlet a couple years ago. Thought I was snagged until it started moving. It was a pain dragging it in. Pretty cool though.

I’ve caught two horseshoe crabs breeding at the same time at the folly light house end of the beach, turns out they are worth money because they are studying them for a cure for certain cancer. I have also caught squirrel fish and soldier fish and trust me you don’t want to touch them (**() near got my hand mangled but I am lucky and didn’t even get cut and learned some valuable information from the deckhand after I made the mistake of thinking they where like snappers.

I caught my little sister when we were around 8 or 9 years old. We were on our dock on one of the rivers down by Mobile Alabama. I had been watching a brother in law fish with a fly rod and decided to try it. Was whipping a cane pole back and forth when all of a sudden it hung on something. I would jerk on it and she would scream. After a few jerks my dad came running out and took the pole away. I had hooked her in the upper eye lid. Don’t know how it missed the eye ball. That is one whipping I’ll never forget.

I remember going to Folly Pier in 2003, and people were catching starfish left and right. I must have seen 20 of them come up, they were wrapped around the bait on your hook. I caught several. These were large and brown/orange.
