Hello all! My brother in law and I will be on Hilton Head Island in a couple weeks for the first time! we are excited but were wondering if anyone can make some suggestions on a couple places we might get into some good fish? We do not have a boat and that seems to be very limiting but we will have the poles and gigging stuff with us and looking for some advice. Any place we definitely need to go or stay away from?

Without a boat you are going to be very limited. If you are staying in one of the gated resorts there are good ponds to fish in. Otherwise, you will probably be surf casting on the beach. Not a bad option. Look up some of the local guides and they will put you on more fish than you can handle. Try the fishincoach.com. Dan Utley is his name.

thanks for the input after looking at some maps online looks like we are closer to the north end not sure of the exact place. I also saw some rocks out on the beach so i am sure i will hit those up at some point. Also along the back side is there a place to do some gigging? My saltwater experience is all on the OBX and years ago so this is totally new to me. However if you need some fresh water trout in north west NC I can put you on those!
