Sullivans 6/30 morning

Went out around sunrise fished till noon. Was using shrimp, mullet, and whiting. Wind was moving and the water was pretty choppy. Good news is the rain keep the beach clear. Bad news not much was biting. A few whiting and a small shark. He put a good fight thought. Shark was caught on a fish finder with mullet.

im so confused on the size of that shark right now haha.

Looks like a it might be a 3ftish sandbar. Sandbars are the best fighting sharks in my opinion. They got speed, power, heart and the big fins help them dig in the current for ripping turns. They can contract their fins for speed runs and angle them out to catch currents.

Get that reel out tha dirt

X 10 on the reel in the sand^^^^^^^ I can hear it grinding from here:frowning_face::frowning_face::frowning_face::frowning_face::dizzy_face::dizzy_face::dizzy_face:

Sweet, looks like a black nose. Seems like I’ve been catching a lot more of those in recent years

The shark was 2’2". I am unsure of the species. I thought it was a small bull, did not seem to have the ridge of a sandbar, but it was not sluggish. I laid the the rod down for a size comparison.
