Been putting in some good time fishing the past 5 days. Going from 8am-130pm on weekdays and 10 hours on weekend days. Trying to target reds but cant seem to keep my bait away from the bluefish. One day i caught over 30 of them kept 5 for future bait and threw the rest back. The bite for bluefish have been slow yesturday and today. I have been able to keep cut whiting on my hooks now. No sign of redfish caught a few sharks a 14inch whiting and i think my largest bluefish was around 18 inches. Waiting on those reds any day now.
30 blues in a day is killing it, thanks for the report Stevo. Hopefully the reds show in numbers soon enough.

Nice work. The Reds ought to start showing up more when the weather cools off. Looking back over the years, my best catching reds in the surf days days were in October and November. About 20 years ago I caught 3 over 40" the day after Thanksgiving. The black drum are good in November and December too. Wish I could fish during the week.
