Headed out to folly to watch sunset and moon rise. The combination of high tide and moon phase had me excited. Lines in the water at about 1930 immediately hooked up with shorty black drums. I told the little lady and father that they’re in close. Resulted in 6 black drum, bull whiting, 18" speckled trout, and either a spinner or black tip( not landed) by sunset. It was a thrill to see her out catch us both. My father was more proud to now that all the knowledge he passed down to me is working and that I’ve passed it on to others as well. Last night was one of the best experiences I’ve had surf fishing in a while. Off the beach by 2200. All fish released.
