Sunday 7/20

This past Sunday I fished two hours on each side of high tide at Folly. Did not get one single bite on fresh, local shrimp pieces. Was a little rough, 3 oz sinker to hold bottom. I moved around between 6th and 9th west looking for troughs. This is the first surf fishing trip in a few months that I did not get any bites. BUT… I did find 15 shark teeth fossils in great condition to give to my 4 year old daughter. And it was such a beautiful day. Even if your pole isn’t folding in half, we are lucky to live right here on the beach, right guys?? I mean, even if the oceans dried up over night, I’d still cast my line out just to see what happens!! The surf is alive my friends :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

We fished IOP sat.&sun. Sat. High tide falling, sharks and rays. Sun. Low tide falling thru the turn, more whiting than sharks or rays. Almost all on shrimp pieces. Did try some fresh cut blue fish, had a few whiting bite it. And 3oz. is mostly all I’ll use, sometimes more. Pretty typical hot summer surf fishing. It will be like this thru August. September will be much better. Regardless I will keep going! You should too.

“If it were catching, Everyone would be good at it.”

I’ll be out at Folly on Sunday! I find that if I need more than 3 oz, I do more fishing than catching - like your quote says :stuck_out_tongue:
