Fished a not so secret dock in Mt. Pleasant Sunday afternoon incoming tide. Caught plenty of finger mullet and shrimp in just a few casts.
These 2 Spottails were 27" and 28". Both caught on fresh cut finger mullet. I caught a couple of small ones, and a little trout also on a finger mullet. The bait stealers took all my live shrimp.

Jack you are a good man and have taught me so much, thank you for all your posts and teaching us. Glad to see you tearing up those reds Sir.
I know that dock! Lol, did you cast net off the end or out toward the middle for the mullet and shrimp?
Thanks for the kind words Pete. I have learned a lot in the past 2 years from you, D PARKER and several others on this thread since I sold my boat a couple of years ago. I’m getting excited as fall surf fishing is close at hand. Walkman I caught the bait off the other dock on the feeder Creek just down the path from the dock in the pictures.

The aluminum dock? I was there several months ago and…nothing…must have been the wrong time.
Yes, the aluminum dock. Bait started showing up in mid-May, although it can be sporadic until June. Right now it’s pretty thick. Sometimes just after rain, the mullet and shrimp will go deep for a couple of days. Over near the ramp beside the standing dock it’s pretty deep even at low tide. Sometimes you can pull big mullet and shrimp out of there. Have fun.
