My son and I decided to give N Folly a shot despite the conditions. Decided to go an hour after high tide as we weren’t sure we would have any beach at high tide and from the high tide line it looked liked a good choice. Managed several small reds on the bait rig on small bits of shrimp and small #2 circle hooks, nothing on the big rods with crab and cut mullet. Small reds only thing caught , no whiting , no sharks no rays , which was unusual. Had to keep moving sand spikes every 10 minutes to keep up with falling tide.
Something I thought I would share that we have been doing lately. If you are having trouble with bait steals on your small rigs, use the little rubber bands that are meant for braces around the shrimp. I make my daughter get me a bag every-time she goes to the orthodontist.
