Fished early Saturday out around 6 AM caught nice slot Red and 1 over slot couple small Trout and one 20" Flounder which went into box rest released, rain cloud started building up over toward Frip Isl.looked like I would get rained on so headed to the hill@8:30 on the way up Big Bay notice a nice off shore rig under water still tied to its dock curious if owner was able to get her on top of the water?
I was down at the point by the condos this evening and there was a diesel fuel smell. There was an oil sheen on the water in places and up in the mud heading up the creek. I wonder if the 2 are related?

i saw a crane going down big bay creek. so i’m guessing the owner got it out. Right out of his pockets. Whoever had it tied up had it tied up tight on a dock that didn’t looking like it was floating. NO BUENO
and that was the second one i saw under water that week
I am surprised nothing was done about the fuel leaking. There was quite a bit of fuel floating on the water and up in the mud and grass.
I am going to go fishing one evening this week at the point, I will see if it evaporated or got cleaned up.

We were down on vacation last week and saw the salvage guys try to raise the boat. However, it appeared they may have done more damage in the process. When the boat sunk it also rotated up under the floating dock. Since the salvage guys didn’t try to move it out from under the dock before lifting it, they lifted boat and dock together (i.e. the floating dock is on top of the boat).
