Super Boat Sunday! 37 FREEMAN 2-Feb-14 (Pics!)

Been following Billy’s latest offshore game changer, the Freeman 37VH and jumped at the opportunity to take a ride on Sunday.

Started seeing these pictures trickle in on Facebook…

So what do I need to bring? He says, Bring it all! I want to run her loaded!

Ten fo!!

Met at the dock Sunday morning… all 8 of us!

500 pounds of ice (no we did not need that much but we are sea trailing here…)
540 Gallons of fuel
8 grown men
70 gallons of live well
drink station slam full of beverages
Cold dry side loaded with boat food
enough tackle to catch a blue whale!

The boat is a BEAST!
Triple F350s
cockpit you could park a bus in.
2300 quarts of cold storage
210 gallons of live well
Brand new dual 16" Simrad Evo2 systems
4 tuna tubes
and a bunch of other stuff I am leaving out

Cockpit

Swim platform

Run out was fast and cold!

Made it out to the ledge in search for tuna and wahoo.

Trolled for about 10 minutes and bam! T-top rod zings to life! ZZZZZ!! Swiley dives on it like a fat boy on a box of krispy kreme!

First fish of the 2014 season, and the first for the 37 Freeman era!

73 mph… 1050hp… 11,500lbs 37’2" boat… Gonna have to burn a couple dinosaurs to achieve that!

Set the trap boys, we going to pass through them again!!

Haven’t been following the build very closely, so this may be a dumb question. Is this beast supposed to stay in the Charleston/South Carolina area, or does the owner have other plans for it?

It is the 2014 demo boat. It will live in Charleston for the rest of the year. He typically sells them demo in late fall.

I have been following this build on THT. Really nice boat.

The ride is better than a Cadillac!!

Often wrong never in doubt!

Here is a question I haven’t seen asked. What does that boat cost…??

Redstripe,

Its a secret. They cant reveal the cost to you over the internet. I will tell you can get a full size sportfisher with nice salon for less though. You wont be able to go 60 but you will have shelter for your crew and guests if you need it.

I’ve been on Redstripe’s ride. I think he’s good to go.

Typical CF.com response. It’s always a good debate on speed versus cabin/salon comfort. If I had unlimited funds, I would have one of each. Matt you gotta get on one of our early trips this year. Gar and I keep threatening to do an overnighter to the far side of the stream.

If you need hands Redstripe, staying up 48 hrs fishing and working cockpit is one of my favorite things to do- most people scared to do overnight trips but i love em

Without a doubt. Give me enough heads up to get work squared away and I’ll be there.
