Did I hear the ABC national news right last night that the NFL trademarked the phrase “Super Bowl”? So that restaurants and bars couldn’t advertise they are having a Super Bowl party. They had to say something like “Super Game”?
And the national news caster was blatantly trying not to say Super Bowl, but emphasized Super Game. The news caster also said they tried to get a comment from the NFL and they declined. On his show Steven Colbert was mocking this by saying he was having a “SuperB Owl” party.
Did I hear this right? Has the NFL put a knot in our tongues? Isn’t this a 1st amendment infringement?
Someone please clarify this for me or tell me I am mistaken.
No different than restaurants not being able to serve a chick fillet on their menus. It sounds like the name of another restaurant.
Zaxby's has a Kicken Chicken sandwich and every time I hear the ad on TV I think of the real Kicken Chicken.
Charleston Fishing’s most hated guide!
I’m not absolutely sure when the kickin chicken hit Zaxbys menu, but they started franchising at least three years before the first Charleston Kickin Chicken opened.
