Hit the beach at 11:00AM. Lots of clouds and pretty big surf. Had to hunt pretty hard for the sweet spot. Before the turn a few Rays, sorry no pics :-). Hole turned on about 1:30. Only a few Whiting, but some nice Blacks and a hand full of Puppy Drums, turned off around 3:00. Left the beach at 4:00. A few pics of the haul.

nice! found a spot in florida that would likely produce but current was RIPPING and couldnt keep a line still. whats for bait shrimp?
Fresh shrimp. When I fish cut bait I will cut a Whiting.

Does the cut whiting work just as good as mullet for redfish, etc.
I never use mullet in the surf live or dead. Fresh shrimp first, then cut what ever I’m catching at the time. Blue Fish makes really good cut bait. As far as the Big Reds, I don’t think they really have a preference. My personal biggest was on cut Spot. (Not in the surf though).
