Seems the transition to the fall bite is beginning?
Waited a little late to fish the incoming tide. On the beach around 11:30. Pretty slow at first, Whiting, Rays, couple really small Pomps…then the Reds came through. Of course I was about out of shrimp, caught a Whiting and “cubed” it up. Landed 7 missed a few big knock downs in maybe an hour, then the bite shut down. Caught the last few on Whiting cubes.
One Red had a good sized hook in it’s tongue. Didn’t seem to be bothering it, I left it, was rusting out well.
